We made an open record request to verify if Mr. Troy Nehls had advised Fort Bend ISD of his previous charges and arrests, which contradict his signed and verified affidavit. Fort Bend ISD Police responded there are no records responsive to our request. Filing false official paperwork for his employment with Fort Bend ISD is a crime, but it could not be prosecuted due to our finding were after the statue of limitations.

The following are open record requests concerning Troy Nehls from the Richmond Police Department. Note he was reprimanded repeatedly and finally fired. Among the many infractions there is one particularly troublesome when it was reported that a deputy called for backup during a traffic stop, Troy Nehls answered the call for backup, but he went to eat lunch with his wife instead of protecting and attending the call for backup from the requesting officer.
